Xymark BB2 High-speed Laser Coding Systems

Source: Packard BioChip Technologies
The BB2 can code up to 5 lines of text, with characters from 2.5 mm to 7.5 mm in height
Building on the already successful platform of the Xymark Efx family dot matrix laser coding systems, GSI Lumonics now bring the Xymark BB2 to the world. This system is a high-speed label coding system designed specifically for the beverage industry. Up to six times the speed of the existing Xymark Efx 10, the BB2 codes up to 3000 characters per second, marking up to 80,000 labels per hour.

The BB2 can code up to 5 lines of text, with characters from 2.5 mm to 7.5 mm in height. A standard remote keyboard means that the unit can be used remotely, up to a distance of 5 meters away, with an umbilical cord relaying the operator's instructions.

Simple programmability allows manufacturers to meet the exact requirements of their customer base, whether it is batch information, serial numbers, real time/date or best before date codes.

A compact galvanometer scanner module has been incorporated for high-speed coding and better print quality. Mounted at the end of the articulated arm, it is only 98 x 84 x 162 mm in size and sealed to IP66, allowing the new system to be used in many space-restricted and wet environments.
