X-ray Case Inspection System
The unit's inspection head houses an x-ray source and detector system that digitally profiles the relative density of each case and its contents as they pass through the inspection zone. Optional features include detection of high, side, leading and trailing flaps as well as unslit flaps. It can also detect residual containers in an empty case.
Another available option is the capability to inspect dual tiered cases or cartons. Cases may be rejected on demand, saving personnel valuable time from stopping the production lines to remove sample cases.
The case inspector is well-suited to inspect cases made of cardboard, plastic, paper or wood. It can inspect cases on fixed or variable speed lines, and can be easily installed on existing production lines, with minimal modifications. Adjustable tunnel heights and widths are available to accommodate nearly any case or carton type.
