WAS-120 Wrap-Around Sleever: A New High-Speed Model Under ÉLITER's Next-Generation Initiative

The latest project that landed in June, 2026 was a high-speed cardboard sleeving machine developed by ÉLITER Packaging Machinery for a renowned dip brand in APEC region for applying carton sleeve with retention feature around a rounded tub with 120g weight, running at speed of 110 wraps per minute in inline operation with their form-fill machine. Modeled as WAS-120 Wrap-Around Sleever – a structurally upgraded new machine option improved on the basis of our previously model of WAS-150 “ESTRENA” Wrap-Around Sleever, our sleeving machine can now handle with better robustness and consistency for containers, either rounded or rectangular, in single or multipack formats.

Stable Handling of Lightweight Round Containers
Round tubs present different handling requirements from rectangular trays. Their limited directional stability, lightweight construction and smooth external surfaces require precise product spacing and controlled movement throughout the sleeving process. The sleeve also incorporated retention features designed to secure the tub mechanically. This required accurate alignment between the container and paperboard blank during forming, folding and hot-melt sealing.

We developed the new model with innovative integrated mechanisms that align the sleeve’s both sides of flap during the glue application and sealing processes so that while the rounded container being self-symmetric may rotate on themselves, the sealing alignment and precision does not get compromised meanwhile with operation speed guaranteed.
