ULTIMA ST
Hayssen, Inc., a Barry-Wehmiller Company, will demonstrate new vertical form/fill/seal technologies at the Pack Expo 2000 show to be held November 5-9, 2000, in Chicago (booths 400 and 713) with its new Ultima ST and the Hayssen Turbo. Hayssen's Ultra will also be exhibited.
Hayssen's new ULTIMA ST, featuring a superior measure/form/pull film advance concept, represents a significant advance in vertical form/fill/seal technology. The revolutionary measure/form/pull film advance concept promotes faster production speeds. A measuring roll assembly measures bag length at speeds faster than conventional machines, allowing more time for the balance of the bag making cycle. This economical machine, based on the design of the production-proven ULTIMA CMB, offers operator conveniences and maximum flexibility, making it suitable for a wide variety of applications.
Hayssen's new TURBO continuous motion bag-maker is capable of speeds up to 180 bags-per-minute. The equipment uses a patented measuring roller to control web speed in relation to jaw speed. The unique electronic CAM software provides an extremely broad range of jaw speeds in relation to web speed. Once optimum sealing time is determined, it is only necessary to set the sealing time and speed - other adjustments are automatically made.
The Hayssen ULTRA combines the most desirable features of Hayssen's Measure, Form, Pull packaging material handling concept with closed-loop servo-motor technology and a CTC color programmable touch-screen controller with 100 program storage, auto set-up, online diagnostic reporting, and troubleshooting advice. Unlike stepper-motor driven machines, the ULTRA provides full torque over a wide speed range with closed-loop feedback that monitors position and function for the utmost in long-term repeatability. In addition, a programmable sealing temperature feature prevents machine start-up if temperatures are not correct to provide unsurpassed repeatability, reliability, and ease of set-up.
