UCB Films a unique wrapping for toilet tissue and other personal hygiene products that combines transparent cellophane in one composite structure. The wrapping consists of a paper reel with an integral cellophane strip through which the product may be viewed. I can be printed in up to five colors and is already being supplied to the paper products market.
Both the paper and the cellophane in this product are semi-permeable which ensures that the moisture produced within the package, as hot bread cools, for example, transfers out of the package. There is no need for a prepackaging cooling period, which can save up to three hours of production time and increase shelf life up to 12 hours.
