Thermal Transfer Imprinters

PrintPro Sonic thermal transfer imprinters work in-line with form/fill/seal baggers to print barcodes, text and graphics directly on packaging material. The Sonic Twin 2C is capable of two-color imprinting on one side of a web of bags or film. The two print heads can be overlapped or offset for a total print width of 4–8 in. On baggers or wrappers that use flat sheeting, it can also produce two-sided imprinting on the finished package. The Sonic Twin 2S is configured to print on both sides of bags-on-a-roll, tubing or centerfold film.

Both systems are available with a choice of either a 300 DPI print-head for high resolution, or a 203 DPI print-head for higher speeds. They are available in a small-footprint model for web-widths up to 11 in., or an extra-wide model for web-widths of up to 24 in. The systems can print an average of 40–100 packages/min on medium-sized bags, and up to 200 packages/min on smaller bags. They can print on polythylene, polypropylene, polyester, and most other common flexible materials that are available in flat sheeting, tubing, centerfold film, or bags-on-a-roll. Features include a 4 x 12-in. long print area, remote keypad, and the ability to store over 200 basic keypad-modifiable label formats.
