Thermal Transfer Imprinter

The Precision Prism is a thermal transfer imprinter with two print heads, each with its own electronic registration control for printing accuracy to ±1/16 in. The two print heads allow the system to print on two sides of an Autobag. This means such items as product name, description and graphics can be printed on the front of the bag, while part numbers, UPC codes and other incidentals can be printed on the backside.

The system's built-in registration contained on each print head allows the imprinter to advance the bags and pinpoint the printing area on its own; functions that are usually handled by the bagger. This translates into more accurate positioning of the bag for improved registration and graphics, and text placed exactly where specified.

The system prints 203 or 300 DPI for clear resolution and its imprint location may be adjusted while the bagger is running, which leads to faster printing rates. It is designed for easy head alignment and cleaning, with improved threading for easier set-up.

The imprinter is programmable through a control, which may be detached, providing a more user-friendly interface for the operator. A programmable memory also allows for label storage.
