The Spot-Pak Packaging System is automated from container infeed to discharge of the complete package. The machine performs the packaging motions, thereby eliminating repetitive hand motion – a frequent cause of injury to employees. The packaging is unique in that each container is locked in place via a light bond between the container and the corrugated base pad. This bond remains in place until the shrink film is opened at the retail store. Once opened, the containers pop free of bond.
The Spot-Pak Packages:
• Are typically half the cost of corrugated boxes
• Use about 75% less material than boxes
• Offer a faster product cool down than possible with boxes, an important consideration for products such as sour cream and dips
• Provide visibility of contents, which limits distribution errors
• Maintain clean sanitary condition of containers
