Sonoco To Sell Harlands Group
Sonoco has signed a letter of intent to sell its Harlands labels and labels machinery group in England to Jarvis Porter, headquartered in Leeds, England.
The Harlands Group, with 1997 sales of approximately $40 million, was acquired by Sonoco in 1994. Sonoco had previously indicated its intent to sell Harlands at the time it announced the sale of its North American Labels operations.
Sonoco, founded in 1899, is a global manufacturer of industrial and consumer packaging products.The company has approximately 275 operations on five continents serving customers in more than 85 countries.
