Smart Bottle™ System

SMART BOTTLE ™ is a self-contained microprocessor- based sensor, which collects either impact, static pressure, or temperature readings and transmits them in real time to a hand-held processing unit. The sensor can accommodate various container shapes and sizes.

Applications in the packaging line

• Reduction of breakage and micro cracking as a result of impact and stress;
• Reduction of container denting (PET) & cans;
• Reduction of label damage and bottle scuffing as a result of excessive static pressure in the conveying system;
• Impact/Force assessment of individual pieces of equipment (capper, filler, conveyors);
• Registering of temperature and pressure profile of the real product;
• Equipment adjustment for food & beverage containers with new design bottles with thinner glass;
• The Smart Bottle ™ can be used in the QC Lab to improve the design of glass containers through determining optimum threshold breakage levels for glass containers

Smart Bottle Project
Every Smart Bottle Project consists of the following phases to identify and meet customer needs:
Phase I: Initial consultation and concept demonstration to customer's QA and Technical Services, R&D, Production, Packaging Development and Process Engineering personnel;
Phase II: Product testing, data collection and interpretation, confirmation of sensor range;
Phase III: Product sale
