Skin Packaging Board

Andex Skin Packaging Board is a special low density, high porosity substrate.
Andex skin packaging board is a special low density, high porosity substrate. It provides high strength, low cost and excellent film adhesion with a smooth clean bright-white printing surface.

Unlike blister board, skin packaging board has no clay-coated surface. Printing on skin packaging board with its tendency to absorb ink will not be as vivid as that available on blister cards. However, since the non-clay-coated board does not require perforations to aid in drawing a vacuum during the packaging cycle, the appearance of the graphics is enhanced.

A special high solids heat activated adhesive is applied over the printing to facilitate a seal between the film and the board. The milky-white appearance of this adhesive dissipates and becomes clear when the heated skin film activates it.

Skin Packaging Applications:

  • Small to very large items
  • Light to heavy products
  • Products without holes or voids
  • Rigid products
  • Smaller quantities of many different items
  • Industrial and some retail products
  • Higher profile items
