Sharp Completes First U.S. Installation of Uhlmann UPS 1070 Blister Thermoformers

The Uhlmann 1070 system is designed to provide maximum versatility for handling multiple-contract packaging applications.

The blister thermoformers Sharp is using indeed handle multiple packaging applications, producing 600 blisters per minute. The systems enable fast, pushbutton project changeover and are capable of forming both plastic and aluminum materials as well as handling child-resistant lidstock. Through the use of both lasers and servo mechanisms, the Uhlmann 1070 machines achieve efficiencies through such features as automatic monitoring and adjustment during operation. A product-specific database allows product parameters to be easily reproduced later.
Sharp has has installed more Uhlmann thermoformers than any company in North America.
