Schleicher & Co. of America, Inc. has been operating in the United States since 1979, and has continually grown their dealer base in great strides. The Intimus brand was developed and now stands as an icon in the shredder industry representing quality and function.

In 1998, Schleicher & Co. of America, Inc. purchased Olympia Business Systems, Inc. moving the entire operation to Sanford, NC. This quickly created a customer friendly company that is efficiently run from one location, and effectively growing its customer base by leaps and bounds.

Housing two companies under one roof, the Schleicher family continues to expand and develop. Intimus has added new models again in 1999, improved existing models and continues to develop innovative technology to improve the products offered to the dealer network. Olympia has expanded their shredder product line to include a complete range of models from personal shredders to complete shredding/baling systems. On the same note, the Olympia typewriter line has been expanded upon and the totally revamped electronic cash register line reflects the high standards of all Schleicher endeavors.

Construction is underway for a complete Olympia site including all product ranges as well as government contract access.
