Rollprint's New Multimix Multi-Compartment Pouch

MultiMix multi-compartment pouches use new flexible laminates developed by Rollprint Packaging Products that are tailored to meet a wide range of barrier requirements. The pouches keep two or more packaged products separated in a single pouch until the user ruptures the internal seal with a quick squeeze or twist to mix the products at the time of use. Applications include foods such as infant formula, chemical products like epoxy, and a wide range of personal care and pharmaceutical products.

Rollprint's advancements in polymer chemistry allow MultiMix pouches to feature both internal rupture seals and external permanent welded seals that can be produced on a variety of heat sealing equipment with a wide operating window of sealing temperatures and dwell times. To combine the separate products, the internal rupture seal breaks easily with moderate pressure while the outside seal contains the product during mixing. The internal rupture seal can be produced anywhere inside the package in any shape or configuration.

Compared to traditional multi-part products that often require the end-user to measure and mix products together in a separate container, Rollprint's MultiMix pouches enhance ease of use and improve product quality.
