Designed to pick layers of containerized products and build mixed pallet loads to be placed on delivery trucks, the Robotic Order Picking System is capable of picking from 1,400 to 1,900 cases per hour. Using the system reduces labor costs and workers compensation claims that often result from bending to lift heavy cases. The system utilizes a linear gantry to service 20 pallet locations. Daily orders are downloaded from the host computer to the system.

To begin the process, the robot places empty pallets at the proper build location. The robot then positions over the required product, and picks and places the full layer(s) onto the build pallet. Upon completion of a pallet load, the robot moves to another pick zone and continues order picking while a forklift removes the completed load.
