PPC Publishes New Folding Carton Handbook

The Paperboard Packaging Council (Alexandria, VA) has published Ideas and Innovation—a handbook for designers, converters, and buyers of paperboard packaging. This 224-page publication is an updated and expanded version of PPC's Handbook of Folding Carton Style Nomenclature.

The new handbook provides comprehensive information for structural and graphic designers as well as other packaging professionals and students. Included in the handbook are:

• more than 500 detailed illustrations of carton styles.
• descriptions of folding carton characteristics.
• explanations of specialty carton styles, including tubes, trays, and multiple packaging.
• a comprehensive glossary of packaging terms.

A valuable reference manual for structural designers and production planners, the publication describes folding carton production processes as well as the history of the paperboard packaging industry.

The handbook is available to PPC members for $75 and to non-members for $150. There is a minimum order of three copies.
