Designed as an alternative to wood pallets, the AdvantEdge pallet has successfully passed the requirements
Designed as an alternative to wood pallets, the AdvantEdge pallet has successfully passed the requirements under National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards 231 and 231C to receive the Underwriters Laboratories listing. Because of its UL listing, the pallet can be used alongside existing wooden pallets without requiring the upgraded sprinkler protection systems and additional modifications to fire protection schematics that other plastic pallets require. The 56-lb, 40-in. x 48-in. x 5-ft-5/8-in. pallet meets the Grocery Manufacturers' Association's performance criteria: true four-way entry, edge-rackable, and load capacities of 2,800 lbs with a uniformly distributed load.

The pallet is said to be lighter weight, safer, and easier to clean than many other pallets. It is slip resistant, easier to handle than wood, and doesn't absorb oils, chemicals and water. It also features a proprietary nine-block combination, sonically welded, and a snap-fit design.

Made with GE Plastics' NORYL and ZENOY resins, the pallet requires no reinforcements and is 100% recyclable, making it a suitable choice for many industries that use automated handling and retrieval systems, such as chemical, food, and pharmaceutical.
