Peel packages are used for terminally sterilized medical devices. They can be made of materials suitable for all leading sterilization methods.

With several hundred sealing dies in stock, Beacon Converters can custom-make almost any size without a tooling charge. Peel pouches can be custom-printed with up to 4 colors, and made up to 36" wide and 100" long.

Various applications and their most popular Beacon pouches include:

  • Breathable sterile barrier: Tyvek. heat sealed to polyester/ polyethylene combinations.
  • Non-porous packaging: Polyester/polyethylene combination peelable pouch.
  • Barrier packaging: Many combinations of materials with varying MVTRs. Clear materials, as well as metalized and foil laminations.
  • Gas-sterilized devices requiring barrier packaging: Peelable barrier pouch with Tyvek header strip to allow breathability during sterilization. After sterilization, pouch is sealed above the header strip and strip is cut off, leaving the device in a barrier package.
  • Devices requiring extra-strong packaging: Several films are available that offer extensibility and puncture resistance and peel cleanly from uncoated Tyvek.
