PE Sealing System
An air-cooled, low-maintenance PE sealing system further extends the versatility of the Woodman Company's Polaris and high-speed Quasar bagmakers. The system offers food processors a poly bagmaker that runs on both low-density polyethylene (LDPE) film and conventional films with greater control, higher speeds, and lower costs.
The Poly Polaris and Poly Quasar feature digital servo motors to control end sealing and enable control of heated dwell time and maximum seal cooling time. An optional bag support shelf for larger bag runs, particularly those with dense products. The shelf can be included beneath the point of bag cut-off to provide end seal support during cooling.
Quick change components keep changeover between LDPE films and standard resistant heat sealable materials to a minimum. No change is required of the seam seal system on either machine. Since all program changes are software-based, only a single input is required and changeover can be accomplishes in less than 20 minutes.
The poly sealing systems feature a simple, forced-air cooled seal system, eliminating the need for the water-cooled system. Plasma-coated PE sealing jaws, made with proprietary high-release surface coating, eliminate the need for Teflon tape covers and impulse sealing wire, reducing downtime and maintenance.
