PaperPak introduces new soaker pad for meat & poultry packaging

PaperPak Products Inc. (Laverne, CA), a leading absorbent product manufacturer, has introduced its new UltraZap Supersorb, a superabsorbent soaker pad for use in the meat and poultry packaging industry.

The innovative soaker pad uses a superabsorbent polymer manufactured by Stockhausen (Krefeld, Germany). The superabsorbent polymer, FAVOR-PAC 100, ensures dryness and protection against leakage and contamination, even when submitted to pressure. Currently, it is the only superabsorbent polymer approved by the FDA for poultry and meat packaging applications.

UltraZap Supersorb expands upon PaperPak's existing UltraZap technology. Launched in 1991, UltraZap was the first pouch-type soaker pad made of tissue instead of traditional fluff and sealed on all four sides.
