New to Packline Materials Handling, the roll handling equipment with roll retaining mechanism has been developed to ensure that the roll of film or foil remains on the lifting attachment whilst it is being manoeuvred between storage racking and machinery. This lifting attachment is manufactured from stainless steel and anodised aluminium which makes it entirely suitable for the food and drinks industries and other hygienic applications.

Kansas City, Mo (PRWEB) - New to Packline Materials Handling, the roll handling equipment with roll retaining mechanism has been developed to ensure that the roll of film or foil remains on the lifting attachment whilst it is being manoeuvred between storage racking and machinery.

This lifting attachment is manufactured from stainless steel and anodised aluminium which makes it entirely suitable for the food and drinks industries and other hygienic applications.

This Single Spindle attachment is used to handle heavy rolls of film, foil or paper.

The rolls are lifted by their 6-inch (150mm) diameter core and a series of rollers allow the rolls to slide easily onto and from the attachment.

A retractable roll retaining mechanism ensures that the rolls remain safely on the attachment whilst the machine is being manoeuvred between the storage racking and machinery.

The raising and lowering actions are provided by simple up and down push button controls. These are located by the machines handlebars which allows the operator to observe the loading and unloading of the reels for greater precision.

All these features combine to provide the operator to lift, transport and handle reels with complete confidence and safety.

This attachment has a maximum capacity of up to 440lbs (200kg), however higher rated models may be available on request.

All Packline attachments are fully interchangeable and can be easily fitted or removed from any model of Packline ‘Compac’ lifting machine that is fitted with the quick release system. Furthermore, they are backed up by a full bespoke design service so ensuring that the right solution can be made to suit most rolls.

This stainless-steel roll lifting machine is suitable for use in the following industries:

  • Food
  • Drinks and Beverages
  • Dairy
  • Pharmaceutical
  • Medical
  • Chemical
  • FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods)

The purpose-designed compact framework, positioning of handlebars and addition of an optional remote-control device provide improved manoeuvrability and ease of use for the operator.

The small footprint makes this roll handling equipment highly manoeuvrable and a natural choice for today’s narrow production lines and demanding lifting requirements.
