The NOVOFLEX represents a totally new C.I. flexo press concept for midweb flexo printing.
The NOVOFLEX represents a totally new C.I. flexo press concept for midweb flexo printing. Using AC vector digital drive technology, the NOVOFLEX is the first C.I. flexo press to offer infinitely variable repeat lengths. Major benefits include:
  • Improved print quality
  • Elimination of costly plate gears, splines and bushings
  • Elimination of plate gear maintenance, lubrication and storage costs
  • Absolutely precise repeats can be printed
  • Low cost lightweight sleeves can be used eliminating heavy lifting
The new press is equipped with eight printing decks and designed for printing widths up to 1000 mm (39.3"). Repeat lengths can be infinitely varied between 300 mm and 760 mm (11.8 - 30"). The NOVOFLEX covers the whole range of flexible packaging materials, the applications including plastic labels, snack food, frozen food, hygiene products, confectionery wrappers, soup bags and refill packs. In-line stations are available for many applications, including coating and laminating.

All NOVOFLEX modules are linked by a fail-safe industrial field bus system ensuring fast and secure data exchange. The CANTRAC decentralized automation architecture ensures that the operator always has the information at hand at the very place it is needed.

The NOVOFLEX does not use any plate gears and, therefore, does away with complex gear engagement systems typical on conventional automated presses. This translates into increased reliability and reduced set-up times on job changeovers. The machine uses fast change sleeves for plate cylinder and anilox rolls while the direct drives ensure that plate cylinders and anilox rolls are exactly matched to the surface speed of the web, a requirement for perfect quality printing.
