New Cryovac EOP616B lidding film

The thinnest PP tray-lidding film available on the market today

Cryovac Europe has recently launched a new and highly improved tray-lidding film for modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) applications. The new CRYOVAC® EOP616B lidding film is specifically designed for lidding mono polypropylene pre-made trays. It is ideal for a wide range of food products.
Cryovac Multiflex EOP616B film is produced from a polyester film substrate and a 5-layer coextruded barrier sealant based on polyethylene, EVOH and polypropylene leading to considerably improved gas barrier properties. A strong anti-fog masterbatch was also added. This film is available in 39ì thickness only, making it the thinnest tray lidding film available on the market today.

Successful industrial testing
The Cryovac EOP 616B film has been thoroughly tested on different tray-lidding machines, such as those from leading equipment manufacturers Ross, Reiser, Mondini, Sealpac and Multivac. To date, over one million sqm in different widths (from 250mm to 820mm) have been run successfully under demanding industrial conditions.
