Organizations that need to securely transport banknotes, coins or sensitive documentation can now leverage Multivac's unique variety of Money Machines. These machines create safe, efficient, durable vacuum and modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) to protect against theft or damage throughout storage, circulation and long term archiving. The machines employ a cost-effective vacuum packaging process that is highly reliable and can be customized to fit automatic thermoform fill & seal systems and manual chamber machines. A convenient, clear-pouch package design, which is completely tamper resistant, simplifies the counting process, and comes with a printed or embossed logo to identify a package's origination. "Vacuum packaging of banknotes, coins and important documentation is becoming standard practice for banks, security firms and governmental agencies to protect valuables throughout the transportation and storage process," said Doug Slomski, director of sales for Multivac's MCI (Medical/Consumer/Industrial) division. "Multivac has developed the innovative Money Machine system to meet demanding safety and quality standards, for both our rollstock and C100 chamber packaging systems, accommodating the needs of a very specialized industry."

The Money Machine is easy to operate and incorporates the capability to store sealing settings for easy, fast replication. Within the vacuum packaging process, paper money or documents are squeezed together creating firm, straight-edged packages that are stackable, take up less space and alleviate the need for recounting. The film provides protection against moisture, so oxidation is avoided and mould cannot form. Coins are packaged in tightly woven Tyvek bags that are extremely flexible and tear-proof to withstand frequent handling. All machines can be upgraded with a gas flushing option.
