Kansas City, MO (July 1, 2003) – Multivac's new technician training program ensures that Multivac customers receive top quality service and support in their operation for maximum efficiency and rapid resolutions. The six-month, multi-step program trains and tests technicians in key areas of maintenance and operation on a wide range of Multivac systems. Course work is put to the test in the field as technicians-in-training join veteran Multivac technicians to gain real-world experience. This program is one of the most rigorous in the industry ensuring all Multivac technicians acquire a strong base of knowledge that is thoroughly tested before graduating.

This new program is further enhanced by the continuing evolution of the Multivac Technician Apprentice Program. This 15-month program allows participants, who are highly motivated to enter the packaging profession, a chance to work closely with Multivac personnel to learn the trade from the inside. Modeled on European programs, the Multivac Technician Apprentice Program is aimed at training precision engineering professionals for top quality service.

"This enhancement to our technician training program sends a clear message to the industry: when you buy a Multivac you're also buying certified service to back it up," says Lee Buell, manager of customer service, Multivac, Inc.

Multivac has steadily increased the number of field service technicians to 30, servicing Multivac systems across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Technicians are backed by advocacy teams in Kansas City, for rapid parts deployment and enhanced troubleshooting. This new integrated approach to customer service maximizes the productivity of Multivac's full line of rollstock systems, traysealers, and chamber units.
