Mid-Lands Chemical Company, Inc. (The Polar Pack People) was established in 1972 in Omaha, Nebraska by the current principles, Warren and Linda DeGoler, as a specialty chemical manufacturer. Products include a full line of USDA approved items for beef and pork products, as well as Polar Packs which were invented in 1970 by Warren DeGoler. With the acquisition of Action Chemical of Omaha in 1976, additional production and product lines were added to Mid-Lands.

In recent years, the Polar Pack line has grown tremendously and has now become the leading product Mid-Lands produces and sells. In 1990, Miami, Florida was added as a Polar Pack manufacturing and distribution point to greater serve the Southeast U.S., the Caribbean and international markets. In 1994, a third manufacturing plant was established in Phoenix, Arizona to more efficiently serve the southwestern United States. One year later, the Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania (Philadelphia) plant was opened to service the northeast United States. During 1998 and 1999 Reno, Columbus and Dallas/Ft.Worth were brought on board. The Polar Pack coverage doesn't stop in North America, as we are represented in Europe (The Netherlands and Germany). This global plant coverage gives Mid-Lands a manufacturing and distribution position that no other in the industry can match. In turn, it gives our valued customers the most cost effective Polar Pack program in the packaging refrigerant industry.

With continuous research and development, the Polar Pack line is always improving with more variations on the planning board. We offer value added services such as frozen Polar Packs, container refurbishment programs, specialty gel fill systems and freezing tote programs. The combination of years in the business, commitment to quality and new innovations have made Mid-Lands Chemical company a true leader in the industry.
