Flexible Steel Lacing CompanyMedium-Duty Rivet Fastener is intended for conveyor belts with mechanical fastener ratings of up to 330 PIW (pounds per inch of width), which are used in industries where relatively heavy loads move on belts ranging from 7/32–3/8 in. thick. The fastener operates smoothly around pulley diameters as small as 5 in. Each fastener segment attaches to the belt end with two rivets and feature two teeth that embed deeply into the load-bearing belt carcass during installation. These teeth are positioned near the outer corners of each segment's top plate to aid the rivets in optimizing the fastener's pull strength. Every third plate segment is formed with a viewport in the top plate to let the installer see that the belt end is properly butted against the belt stop formed into the fastener's bottom plate. The fastener strips are offered in a variety of lengths to accommodate standard belt widths.
