Macfarlane Launches Ranpak's PadPak Guardian 30 – Setting New Standard In Paper Cushioning Performance
Macfarlane Packaging, the leading supplier of protective packaging in the UK and growing in Europe, has introduced the PadPak Guardian 30 from Ranpak, a versatile paper cushioning system designed to meet the demands of medium to high-volume packing operations.
The Guardian 30 sets a new benchmark in protective packaging by combining high performance with a minimal space footprint. Designed for businesses shipping more than 50 boxes per day, it delivers both 1-ply and 2-ply paper cushioning and supports the widest range of paper types, including Ranpak’s premium Kraft, recycledKraft, and Ecoline papers. This makes it suitable for a broad range of applications, from light cushioning for large and extra-large products, as well as medium- to heavy-duty protection.
The system uses 30-inch fanfold paper, making it ideal for medium- to high-volume users and is compatible with table delivery, batching operations, and full packing line integrations. Easy loading and splicing help reduce reloading frequency, delivering time savings and improved packing efficiency, while its robust design ensures reliable performance in demanding environments.
Designed with the operator in mind, the Guardian 30 features intuitive and user-friendly controls to help businesses reduce training time and improve consistency on the packing bench. One system can deliver cushioning pads for multiple applications, making it a cost-efficient solution for growing operations.
The Guardian 30 also supports Macfarlane’s commitment to sustainability by enabling customers to transition from foam-in-place and plastic void fill to paper-based recyclable cushioning solutions without compromising on protection or productivity.
Chris Machin, Head of Category at Macfarlane Packaging, said: “The addition of Ranpak’s PadPak Guardian 30 further strengthens Macfarlane’s portfolio of paper cushioning systems. Customers are increasingly looking for solutions that improve efficiency while reducing environmental impact. The Guardian 30 does exactly that. It offers a highly adaptable paper-based cushioning solution that helps customers protect their products, optimise their packing processes, and support their sustainability goals.”
