Interphex Update: Sharp Ivers-Lee Announces Name Change
Sharp Ivers-Lee yesterday announced a new name and logo at the Interphex pharmaceutical trade show taking place in New York. Effective immediately, the company will do business under the name Sharp.
In addition to the name and logo change, Sharp is expanding its blistering and bottling capacity in 1999. All four Sharp facilities are currently integrating enterprise-wide resource planning (ERP) systems that unify communication and documentation throughout the packaging process. In addition, Sharp recently announced the expansion of its clinical trial packaging services to include labeling, distribution, returns and destruction.
"Sharp currently has the largest blister packaging capacity under one roof in the industry,'' said James Botkin, president of Sharp. "We are also known for our proprietary equipment to deliver leading pouch, sachet and packet solutions and our high-volume bottling lines. We are building upon the trust we have earned as we broaden our capacity and services to meet manufacturers' need for quality packaging solutions.''
Headquartered in Conshohocken, PA, Sharp is a supplier of commercial and clinical trial packaging to the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and personal care industries.
