Holt Electric to Distribute Automation Products for RVSI

Robotic Vision Systems Inc. (RVSI) has contracted Holt Electric Inc., a Wisconsin-based automation distributor, to distribute RVSI's machine vision, one-dimensional barcode scanners, and Data Matrix reading products. In becoming an integral part of RVSI Acuity CiMatrix's distributor network, Holt Electric will offer customers solutions in programmable control, motion control, drives, process control software, CAD documentation and data collection technologies.

Holt's customer base includes manufacturers and end-users in food, material handling, mining, automotive, paper and consumer products industries. "With Allen-Bradley's departure from the bar code and vision systems business, we wanted to partner with a market leader," said Dave Trungale, vice president of sales for Holt. "We completed a very thorough analysis of bar code and vision manufacturers, and RVSI was a clear choice in technology, customer acceptance and application knowledge.
