Hayssen To Demonstrate New Flexible Packaging Equipment at Pack Expo West '99

Hayssen, Inc.l demonstrate two baggers at the Pack Expo West '99 - the Ultra, an "all servo" machine designed for heavy-duty, three shift operation, and the Turbo, a continuous motion bagger with many innovative features, including state of the art controls utilizing the power of a PC interface.

The Ultra combines the features of the company's patented Measure, Form, Pull packaging material handling concept with closed-loop, servo-motor technology and a CTC color programmable touch-screen controller with 100-program storage, auto set-up, online diagnostic reporting, and troubleshooting advice. Unlike stepper-driven machines, the Ultra provides full torque over a wide speed range with closed-loop feedback that monitors position and function.

The continuous-motion Turbo offers an advanced Indramat servo-motion controller, which controls a rotary jaw mechanism. The machine employs an off-the-shelf, Allen Bradley controller and a CTC PC-based interface. It also offers additional features such as self-centering pull belts, continuous-motion backseal mechanism, hinged electrical cabinet for easy machine access and heavy-duty construction.
