Fred Slautterback Retires from Slautterback Corp.

Fred A. Slautterback, president and founder of Slautterback Corp., has announced his intention to retire effective January 28, 2000.

Slautterback started the company in 1979 in Carmel Valley Village, CA, and the manufacturer of hot-melt adhesive applicator systems has grown to become a leader in the industry. Slautterback hot-melt systems are in use worldwide in packaging and product assembly applications. Slautterback hot-melt equipment is used to seal corrugated boxes and cartons, apply bottle label adhesive and assemble a variety of products. The company's customers include Anheuser Busch, Coors, General Mills, Nabisco and Lever Brothers.

In 1992 Slautterback sold the company to Nordson Corp. (Westlake, OH).
