B&H Introduces Enhanced BH8000 Series Roll-Fed Labeler

B&H Labeling Systems introduces the new Enhanced BH8000 Series roll-fed labeler. New features incorporated into the Enhanced BH8000 labelers include web tracking, a Computerized Registration System (CRS), Rapid Change Over (RCO), and other new standard features that boost productivity, increase worker safety, and improve labeling accuracy.

The Enhanced BH8000 Series labelers ensure quality labeled containers by improving labeling accuracy, even at speeds of 800-plus cpm. The ultrasonic web tracking system automatically controls the vertical movement of the label, holding it at a precise level. The web tracking system automatically compensates for changes in label height, ensuring consistency and accuracy. Even clear labels (which had presented a challenge for packagers in the past) are accurately tracked with an advanced photo-eye sensor. The Computerized Registration System (CRS) automatically maintains optimum registration. A new dancer arm brake effectively adjusts label tension, improving label control and handling, and allowing the most difficult label materials to be applied accurately to containers.

Container sizes ranging from 220ml to 2L can be accommodated on the Enhanced BH8000 labelers. B&H Rapid Change Over (RCO) capability and color-coded change parts, (standard on the Enhanced BH8000 labelers,) allow processors to minimize production line downtime while benefiting from the system's flexibility. RCO container size and label changeovers involve fewer change parts, fewer adjustments, and can be performed by one person in fifteen to twenty minutes. A new variable pitch starwheel eliminates traditional chain adjustments during changeover, resulting in faster and more accurate changes. Designed for unparalleled changeover and operational simplicity, the Enhanced BH8000 labelers reduce the skill level required to execute changeovers and assure the labeler operates at optimum performance.

Other features that simplify operations and maximize productivity on the Enhanced BH8000 Series are a label splicing station that eases label roll changes, a serpentine chain tensioner on the main star drive that eliminates adjustments to the gear arrangement when changing container sizes, and a Micro-adjust cutter blade and glue roller that allows precise adjustments to improve labeler performance.

B&H improves employee safety and helps processors maintain a safe working environment by introducing two additional features with the Enhanced BH8000 labelers. These innovative new features are a vacuum drum that blows the label off during machine set-up (eliminating the need for an operator to reach into a moving component,) and a vacuum drum hoist integrated into the labeler to eliminate heavy lifting during changeovers.

The Enhanced BH8000 Series labeler features a new auto-spring-back glue roller that pulls the gluewheel away from the vacuum drum in the event the machine loses air pressure, preventing vacuum drum damage.

Located in Ceres, California, B&H Labeling Systems introduced the first viable roll-fed label application system in 1969. The company is known worldwide for innovative, solution-driven engineering, high quality workmanship, and the unequaled reliability of its equipment. B&H maintains global representation to offer service and technical support to its worldwide customer base.
