These Electronic Label Printing Systems are fully integrated, on-site label production systems. They feature high-quality label printers, powerful, easy-to-use Performance Series labeling software and superior consumables including labels, ribbons and/or toner. The latest addition to the line of ELP Systems is the LPT/1080 Thermal/Thermal Transfer printer from DATAMAX Corporation, a feature-packed label printer.

This wide-web printer features a print width of 8.5in. and a maximum media width of 9in.. The printer also offers an internal rewind with an 8.25in. OD capacity, optional dispenser for peel & dispense mode, and 300 dots per inch for laser quality high-resolution printing. In addition, there is a version available without the internal rewind and dispensing capabilities.

The LPT/1080 is driven by the Intel i960 32-bit RISC microprocessor for immediate data processing and instant first label out. With print speeds up to 5in. per second, SEAQ Circuitry (Sequential Energy Adjustment for Quality) ensures consistent dot history control for crisp rotated bar codes and extended printhead life. In addition, it delivers high-quality fonts and high-density graphics.

The LPT/1080 prints quality bar codes, text and graphics on labels, tickets, and tags composed of virtually any material. All popular bar codes are built-in. Nine different character sizes can be printed in any of four directions and can be magnified up to 24 times.

Nine alphanumeric fonts from .035in. H to 1.0in. H, including OCR-A and OCR-B are standard. In addition, a built-in smooth font (CG Triumvirate, Helvetica equivalent) provides pre-printed looking labels.
This printer has 1MB of standard on-board DRAM with optional 4 or 16 MB DRAM expansion available for use by application software, and to extend the maximum label length from 8in. to 64in.. Standard 128K internal NV RAM, 2MB internal EPROM & two PCMIA slots are available for fonts, graphics and format storage. The LPT/1080 provides fully programmable external I/O ports for device support requiring synchronization to the print cycle.
