Easy-Open Solutions For Today's Packaging

Tearstrip Systems manufactures and sells pressure sensitive tapes for the easy opening of shrink-wrapped and overwrap packages. We are the exclusive manufacturer of Shrinktape®, a shrinkable teartape for shrink packaging. The Shrinktape® applicator applies the Shrinktape® and forms the tab that is pulled to open the package. Shrinktape® is available in a variety of widths and lengths, and can be provided in standard colors or custom printed with choice of logos, graphics and colors to increase package uniqueness and recognition. Common applications include reams of paper, cosmetics, and tobacco products.

Tearstrip Systems is also the exclusive manufacturer Peelwrap™. Peelwrap™ is unique because the ¾" wide, pressure sensitive tape has a ¼" wide dry grip area which runs the entire length of the package, in the direction of the film flow. The consumer grips the dry edge and pulls down, allowing for easy and complete removal of all of the package film. Peelwrap™ is FDA compliant and can be printed with custom graphics and instructions. Typical applications include convenience foods such as fresh and frozen pizza, food service sandwiches and medical packaging.

Tearstrip Systems' Teartape is a narrow, self-wound pressure sensitive tape for application to overwrap films. Teartape can be used with tuck and fold overwrappers or flow wrappers. Common applications include cassettes, CDs, card mailer packs, OTC pharmaceuticals, tobacco products and boxed candy.

Installed in-line with the wrapper, Peelwrap™ and Shrinktape® applicators are mounted in the film unwind area and are easily retrofitted to any wrapper, including straight and inverting L-sealers, and flow wrappers.
