DSC Logistics Provides Supply Chain Services For MeadWestvaco

Chicago, IL - MeadWestvaco, a global packaging company that delivers packaging solutions and products to the companies in the food and beverage, media and entertainment, personal care, cosmetic and healthcare industries has awarded DSC, a nationwide third-party logistics provider, a five year contract to provide Logistics Center Management services at their newest dedicated Logistics Center in Florence, Kentucky.

DSC is managing all warehousing services for MeadWestvaco's Packaging Resources Group at the Florence, Kentucky, Logistics Center. Products handled at this location include 9000 pound rolls of paper that supply multiple packaging customers. After a brief start-up phase of two months that included selecting and preparing a site, hiring staff, establishing an electronic interface and ramping up operations, the Logistics Center successfully began operations on October 2.
