Double Coated Tape with Film Liner

3M Double Coated Tape 9586F is a high-performance 9.4-mil thick double-coated polypropylene tape with a high-density polyethylene release liner. The thickness and adhesive performance of the tape make it ideal for bonding irregular and dissimilar materials such as wood, metals, glass, painted surfaces and many plastics including flexible PVC. At 9.4 mils thick, the 9586F tape also conforms effectively to textured surfaces.

The adhesive used on the tape combines good initial adhesion with static shear holding power. It also resists the plasticizers commonly found in flexible PVC, which makes it well suited for attaching plastic extrusions.
Moreover, the polyethylene liner resists "popping off" when laminated to flexible extrusions.

A paper-lined version, 3M tape 9573, is available for similar applications.
