Digitronic Auger Filler--Servo 3500 with PLC Controls

The Servo 3500 is generally used for high speed, high torque requirements of applications with an automatic piece of equipment such as a bagger, pouch machine, or conveyor line. The machine is capable of dispensing one pound fills at rates of 100 per minute, and speeds of 140 per minute have been achieved on smaller fills.

The 3500 is available as a complete machine with hopper, column, agitator, and servo drive or as a conversion kit that is used to convert existing clutch/brake machines to servo drive in the field.
The servo drive design eliminates over thirty wear parts found in the clutch/brake design. By removing these parts, the need for daily calibration, expensive repair parts, and costly downtime are a thing of the past. With each fill signal, the drive accelerates to a chosen speed, turns a selected number of revolutions and decelerates to a gentle stop resulting in a repeatable filling cycle each time. Repeatable filling cycles mean improved accuracy and therefore savings from reduced product giveaway. Reducing giveaway can translate to a tremendous amount of savings.
