Crimpers and Sealing Jaws

Both new and reconditioned crimpers and jaws from Greener are manufactured with special alloy sealing faces. The choice of material depends on your application.

Hastelloy — has outstanding wear characteristics and it will not rust or corrode. In tests at a major snack food packager, jaw life increased from one to five years, a 400% improvement.

Copper Nickel Alloy — provides excellent heat transfer, especially at high speeds. Like Hastelloy, it is corrosion proof.

Improved Seal Quality
Serration Pattern Design Packaging materials, products being packaged, speeds, machine condition and operator skill must be considered when choosing a serration pattern. Following are the design variables to be considered:

Geometry — Greener serrations are designed with a radius at the root and crown of each tooth. This differential Radii Design acts to prevent leaks by allowing for even pressure across the width of the seal. The stress and fracturing that can occur with other serration patterns is greatly reduced.
