BOPP, Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene Film
UCB Films' biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film is produced using the "bubble" manufacturing process which allows for a very wide range of thickness. Primary uses are in food & non-food packaging.
Bubble produced polypropylene ensures a high performance in packaging and labelling applications. Its balanced orientation means it is more stable during high speed conversion, die cutting and matrix stripping are easier and it has good directional stiffness and tensile strength.
Its critical thickness and low density means, quite often, less material is required. It is readily recyclable.
All UCB Films' white BOPP is produced using pigmentation rather than voiding giving greater opacity, improved strength and better cutting and sealing.
Metallised films for enhanced pack presentation and barrier to UV light include both coated and uncoated variants.
