Automatic Fiber Swirl Applicator Head

Slautterback Corporationber Swirl Applicator produces a variety of adhesive patterns by enabling the customer to select the optimum nozzle size, adhesive volume and air pressure for any given application. The edge of the adhesive pattern is precisely controlled by adjusting air control screws located on top of the heater body of the nozzle. Two independent adjustments control the air atomization and pattern size. A width of up to 12in. of fiber swirl coverage is obtainable.

Designed for maintainability, the unit's valve module is easily removed. To enhance service life, the adhesive valve contains only one moving part with no dynamic seals. The temperature of the applied adhesive is controlled by an RTD sensor in the applicator head. The RTD sends a signal to a solid state controller, mounted in the hot melt unit enclosure.

Built-in system overtemperature protection is a standard feature. Customer provided pressurized air is routed through a high-efficiency labyrinth chamber that hears the air and directs it to the swirl nozzle. The result is accurate, repeatable application of swirled adhesive.
