The MARKEM family of small character hot melt ink jet coders produces high quality codes on high-speed packaging lines
The MARKEM family of small character hot melt ink jet coders produces high quality codes on high-speed packaging lines and is an exceptional alternative to continuous ink jet printers. These systems help manufacturers to simplify operations and increase product coding efficiency.
The Hot Melt Ink Jet Coder family includes: 9064 that prints up to 4 lines of code; 9064S is the IP65-rated stainless steel version of the 9064; and 962, also IP65-rated stainless steel, can print graphics, logos and up to 8 lines of code.
  • MARKEM ink jet systems use MARKEM Touch Dry inks, an instantly drying, nontoxic solid ink that contains no solvents and requires no special handling. This technology produces prints that are crisp and do not smudge.
  • Hot melt ink jet coders are suitable for printing on a wide variety of packaging materials including films, cartons, aseptic packages, foils and labels..
  • Digital-to-print technology allows frequent code changes, such as automatic real-time updates, to be performed without downtime.
  • The coders are durable, reliable, easy-to-operate equipment that enhance the flow of the manufacturing line and require little training.
  • The stainless steel 9064S coder, can be used for meat, dairy and food processing operations since it is built to withstand the rigors of harsh environments and repeated wash-downs.
  • The user friendly control panel and easy-to-use on screen graphics allow operators to program the entire day's code changes only once, and pre-programmed messages and graphics can be easily stored, recalled and displayed.
  • A diagnostics display provides a quick check of print counts, line speeds, registration setting, temperatures and ink levels, among other conditions. The operator is able to troubleshoot by using the keyboard menu for faster problem identification and reduced downtime.
  • The coders can be networked to as many as 62 individual coders and labeling systems on the factory floor, allowing the sharing of production data to create a streamlined, cost-efficient workflow.
  • Routine maintenance and service functions can be performed with minimal impact on production due to the efficient modular design.
  • With its efficient design, the coders require minimal manufacturing floor space.
