S+S Inspection To Demonstrate Broad Capability At PPMA 2012
As one of the world’s leaders in product inspection, S+S Inspection will be demonstrating its broad inspection capability for the packaging industries on Stand B75 at the PPMA Show in September.
On display will be three systems which cover most applications in the packaging and processing industries, especially the food sector.
LIQUISCAN Metal detection system for liquid, viscous and paste products.
The S+S LIQUISCAN metal detection system removes both magnetic and non-magnetic metallic contamination from pumped liquids, viscous products and pastes, such as jam, chocolate spread, soups, sausage, pâtés, mustard and ketchup, before the filling equipment with the minimum loss of good product. Most widely used in the food industry, the LIQUISCAN is equally suitable for removing metal from many non-food products.
GHF Tunnel Detector with enhanced stainless steel sensitivity
GHF metal detector is designed primarily for the food industry, the new detector head is heavier and larger for maximum stability and durability and provides IP 65 protection for food industry operating conditions. The smooth, surface finish with the well proven GENIUS+ “Touch” control system integrated and sealed into the head meets the most demanding requirements of the food industry for hygiene and cleaning.
RAYCON X-Ray inspection system is very versatile
The RAYCON X-ray inspection system meets the needs of the packaging industry, especially the food sector, for the detection of a wide variety of metallic and non-metallic contamination in packaged and unpackaged products. In addition, X-ray inspection can identify agglomerated, deformed, broken and missing items, even in metallic packaging. Whole or part product checkweighing during the inspection process is a further option to identify out of specification products.
The proprietary control and image processing software is able to simultaneously inspect up to five product lines running in parallel at up to 600 (six hundred) items per minute. An icon based user interface on a ten inch LCD touch-screen monitor simplifies set-up and non-volatile memory will store multi-product data to facilitate product-changeover. As the operation of the RAYCON is similar to that of a conventional metal detector, the need for additional operator training is minimised.
