PFF Packaging's Keighley Site Awarded Top BRC Accreditation

The PFF Packaging Group, one of the UK’s largest independent food packaging manufacturers, has been awarded BRC Grade AA certification for its manufacturing site in Keighley, West Yorkshire.

The Group, which also has its headquarters on the Airedale Park industrial estate, has held BRC accreditation for many years but this is the first Grade AA that the company has received under the revised issue 5 of the BRC Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials. It is one of the highest grades that a business or organisation can achieve and represents a reassurance of quality for customers.

“I am delighted that everyone’s efforts have been recognised – there was a great deal of work done in the updating of our procedures and processes, ensuring continual improvement and compliance to the revised standard” comments Kevin Maltby, Compliance Manager for PFF Keighley.

“For our customers, BRC Grade AA is the reassurance that our products are made in a safe, quality-minded environment that complies with all relevant legislation.”

The PFF Packaging Group, which was established in 1993, delivers innovative and sustainable packaging solutions to the UK’s major food manufacturers and retailers. The company, which employs a total of 225 staff – 120 of them at Keighley – has its headquarters and a 100,000 sq ft manufacturing site on the Airedale Park industrial estate. The Group also recently opened a £1m Innovation Centre at its second manufacturing site in Washington, Tyne & Wear.
