Agr*TopWave LLC Introduces VacTest™ (VT1100) Vacuum tester for plastic containers

AGR Topwave, LLC announces the availability of VacTest™ (VT1100), a vacuum tester for plastic containers. VacTest™ is a tabletop device designed to measure the vacuum resistance of rigid containers. VacTest™ enables an operator to quickly and easily determine the maximum level of vacuum that a container can withstand before it becomes distorted or fails. Applications for this unit include quality testing of products on the production floor, incoming inspection of purchased containers and evaluation of container designs in the development laboratory. VacTest™ is ideal for verifying the quality and performance capabilities of containers used for hot-fill and similar applications where containers are subject to distortion due to internal vacuum forces.

The VacTest™ is designed for simple operation and easy maintenance. A digital readout provides continuous vacuum data as a container is being tested. The peak value is retained upon failure. Due to its unique design, bottles with standard as well as wide mouth finishes (up to seven inches) can be tested without fixture changes.

Agr*TopWave LLC develops and manufactures a full line of laboratory and on-line testing/quality control devices for plastic containers and similar products. Agr*TopWave's headquarters and main manufacturing facility is located in Butler, PA USA. Agr*TopWave is a division of AGR International Inc.
