Test Sequence

The methylene blue dye test for determination of package seal integrity of tablet blisters is subdivided.

• Evacuation of a desiccator which is filled with blisters in methylene blue dye
• For the test time the vacuum will be maintained to expose the package to an exactly defined stress.
• Venting of the desiccator
• The blister packs remain in the methylene blue dye under atmospheric pressure. This ensures that the dye penetrates into fine capillaries
• Visual inspection of the blisterpacks by the operator
