Jon Alexander, who joined Placon in 1992, will lead the company's custom forming division as Vice President of Custom Products. Most recently Director of Custom Products, Alexander is responsible for the development, growth and daily operation of the company's high-end custom packaging business. The division serves clients such as Gillette, SC Johnson, Moen, SmithKline Beecham and Johnson & Johnson, and creates competitive advantage through brand packaging for the personal care, household, hardware and medical product markets.
Vice President of Engineering and Development Greg Harper has been tapped to oversee the disciplines of product development; product engineering; tool engineering and fabrication; process engineering; facilities engineering and maintenance; and quality. Harper joined Placon in 1996, where he was active in sales management for the hardware business unit, then spearheaded the organization of a centralized engineering and development operation. In his engineering leadership role, Harper will be responsible for driving the company's continuous process and quality improvement initiatives.
Dan Mohs, named as Vice President of Placon Products, oversees the sales and manufacturing of the company's proprietary stock products. Offering the industry's most comprehensive selection of off-the-shelf stock packages, the Placon Products Division serves customers in the hardware, electronic, crafts, sporting goods and other industries, where a high level of packaging impact and protection are required at a competitive cost. Mohs has been instrumental in developing new markets and products for the proprietary division, and will be responsible for implementing aggressive growth strategies while working closely with daily thermoforming operations.
