Alupak has appointed PTI Packaging Systems as agent in the Americas for their line of aluminum trays and lidding materials.

Sanjeet Saxena, marketing manager of PTI, stated, "Alupak is the leading producer of aluminum cup and tray packaging, with a vast array of packaging solutions for various food, pet food, chemical and medical products. We are very pleased to promote the fine line of packaging Alupak offers, which are a perfect complement to our filling and sealing machinery lines. According to Edwin Teufel, sales and marketing manager of Alupak, "A recent study sponsored by the European Aluminum Foil Association (EAFA) concluded that aluminum packaging can be used safely in microwave ovens. Alupak is confident this study will stimulate major growth opportunities in the development of new products and for existing products, since the advantages of aluminum packaging are uncontested. Aluminum is extremely well suited for innovative, high-quality packaging."

Aluminum is a 100-percent recyclable material, and the low tare weight and low volume of stacked aluminum trays are an environmental plus during transportation. Alupak aluminum containers are suitable for natural ecological products, ready meals, fish, pates, airline meals and microwaveable products. Aluminum trays are a perfect alternative to cans and plastic trays/cups and often less expensive for comparable applications. Containers are available according to customer's individual requirements regarding color, shape and print design, including various tray lidding materials and designs.
